Law Enforcement and Government Request Policy
How MumuWorks reviews, validates, and responds to lawful requests from courts, regulators, and government or law enforcement authorities.
1. General principles
MumuWorks treats user privacy, confidentiality, and lawful process as important operating principles. Requests from law-enforcement agencies, regulators, courts, and other government authorities are reviewed individually and are not fulfilled automatically. We expect requests to be specific, legally valid, and appropriately scoped.
2. Information requests
MumuWorks may disclose information only when required by law, required by court order, or required by another lawful government authority with proper jurisdiction and legal basis. We may reject, narrow, or seek clarification on requests that appear overbroad, unclear, inconsistent with law, or unsupported by sufficient authority.
3. User notification
Where legally permitted and operationally appropriate, MumuWorks may notify affected customers or users before disclosing requested information so they have an opportunity to evaluate or respond to the request. We may withhold notice where prohibited by law, court order, emergency circumstance, or where notice could create risk of harm or evidence destruction.
4. Emergency requests
MumuWorks may respond on an expedited basis to emergency requests involving a risk of death, serious physical harm, or significant public safety concerns where the request presents sufficient factual detail and lawful urgency to justify immediate review.
5. Transparency commitment
Where feasible, MumuWorks aims to publish aggregate transparency statistics or similar high-level reporting about the volume and types of legal requests it receives. Any such reporting may be limited by confidentiality, legal restrictions, or operational considerations.
